Walk on the Wild Side

Life has been described as a journey.  We are walking down a path.  Though each of us has our own walk, there really are only two paths.  One is wide and greatly traveled.  It seems like everyone goes down that path.  The other is much narrower, and looks like the harder of the two.  It does not seem like many people go down it.

Which one is the best?  What is at the end of them?  Is the one that is wide and heavily traveled the best one to take?  No.  We are told:

13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.
14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Matt 7:13-14 (NLT)

If we want to see God’s kingdom, then there is only one way to go.  The funny thing is we are also told that the right way is the harder one to travel.  It will take you into a wild place where everyone is against you and it seems you are fighting up-hill the whole time.

The going is tough, but the result of taking this road is beyond anything you can imagine.  The rewards that await the few who take the hard way are those only God can give.

Chose to do it the hard way today.  Chose to take a walk on the wild side.

May your aim be true, and may God bless.
